On the first weekend of the month, you can have your child cared for at Kita UKE. The hours of care are between 5:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Kita UKE offers weekend childcare for all children of UKE employees and students who are between three and six years old. Places can be booked every first weekend of the month, when children with UKE daycare places are also looked after in their daycare center. The main beneficiaries are parents who work or study at the UKE on the weekend in question and are unable to organize other childcare. The offer is also available to students from other Hamburg universities and parents from the Eppendorf neighborhood, provided that capacities are available.

Period and costs
The care is divided into the following time blocks:
Block 1: 05:30 am to 07:30 am
Block 2: 07:30 am to 09:30 am
Block 3: 09:30 am to 11:30 am
Block 4: 11:30 am to 13:30 pm
Block 5: 13:30 pm to 15:30 pm
Parents whose children are not cared for at the Kita UKE during the week pay a fixed fee for weekend care for a care block (2 hours):
Students: 4,00 €
UKE employees on weekend duty: € 6.00
UKE employees, not on weekend duty: 8,00 €
External staff: 8,00 €
Additional amounts depending on the time of care:
Breakfast (block 2): 1,00 €.
Lunch (block 4): 3,00 € for lunch.
Registration
Registration for weekend care must be made by the 15th of the previous month for the following month using the registration form.
