Today, Studierendenwerk Hamburg received the Hamburg Health Award 2024 in the category ‘Medium-sized company health/services’: Under the motto ‘Healthy and safe through stormy times! Successfully mastering crises with occupational health management.’ Health Senator Melanie Schlotzhauer, patron of the Hamburg Working Group for Health Promotion (HAG), and the chairwoman of the HAG, Prof. Dr Susanne Busch, honoured the Studierendenwerk as one of six award winners at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. The multidisciplinary approach to workplace health management was particularly emphasised.
For employees in the various areas of university catering, student housing, student finance, counselling and childcare, analyses were carried out centrally as part of occupational health management and tailored measures were developed, such as social counselling, workshops and transparent communication.
