Invitation to the iXNet event ‘Tips and advice on finding and applying for jobs with disabilities’

14. August 2024

We would like to draw your attention to the following digital information event:

Searching for and finding the right job and successfully completing the application and selection process is the goal of every applicant. For jobseekers with disabilities, this professional integration process can bring with it special questions, challenges and barriers.

Jobseekers and employees with disabilities are often confronted with different questions:

  • Which job suits me, my abilities and my disabilities?
  • How should my application documents be organised?
  • Should I contact the representative body for the severely disabled?

Key data on the event:

The one-and-a-half-hour virtual event on Tuesday, 17 September 2024 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. will therefore focus on the one hand on dealing with disability-specific issues and special features in the application and professional integration process. On the other hand, the targeted briefing of the participants is intended to identify potential for optimisation in order to improve the chances of success in future application projects.

Anna Schneider and Abdel Hafid Sarkissian, from the iXNet team of the Employer Service for Severely Disabled Academics, will organise the specialist presentation. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to ask individual and further questions about finding a job.
