All those who have previously paid their licence fee by individual bank transfer are familiar with the previous procedure: A written request for payment (invoice) was sent on each due date. This procedure is now being gradually changed.
In future, the ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio contribution service will only send out a single payment request for each contribution year. This letter will contain all relevant payment dates for the respective year - and will continue to apply unchanged until there is a fundamental change, for example a contribution adjustment or a change of bank details.
The changeover will take place gradually. Some premium payers have already switched to the new procedure. Anyone who has not yet received a one-off payment request will initially continue with the previous procedure.
Important: Even with the new procedure, payment by individual bank transfer remains possible. However, payers will have to keep an eye on their own deadlines in future.
