The Hallerstrasse daycare center is also shocked by the hardship and violence that has befallen the population as a result of the war in Ukraine.
One of our employees comes from Ukraine herself and still has family there. Therefore, she is experiencing the danger and suffering first hand. In order not to watch idly from a safe distance, we asked the parents if anyone would like to donate something for the refugees.
We were deeply touched by the result and full of gratitude. Within one day, so many packages and bags of clothes, medicines, blankets, sleeping bags, food, hygiene items and toys were collected that half the office was full. And not only this, also on the following days the office filled up again and again as if by magic! Even money for the purchase of medicine was donated and a campaign to collect used cell phones and laptops at the university was started. Great!
We hope to make a small contribution to alleviate the need and also to show humanity to the children who are concerned about this issue.
