"Wetbags" for our daycare centres - for less plastic waste

01. February 2024

We have purchased a few "wetbags" for each of our daycare centres so that dirty laundry no longer has to be packed in disposable plastic and taken home. Wetbags are odour and waterproof bags that can be washed and reused again and again. They are intended to replace the disposable plastic bags often used for dirty laundry.

Some parents have already taken the initiative to bring wetbags as equipment for their daycare child, and we want to encourage all other parents to do the same. But even if you don't have your own wetbag or have forgotten it at home, we no longer want to use single-use plastic, so we now have our own group bags - with our STW logo.

In our educational work, we focus on education for sustainable development, among other things. This should not only be reflected in the individual programmes for the children, but also in our own use of resources. With the wetbags made from recycled polyester, we are taking another small step in this direction.
