The counselling centres remain closed for spontaneous visits. However, we offer counselling by phone, email and in person (with appointment). We ask that you wear an FFP2 mask.

In our Counselling Centre for study financing – BeSt, we advise you on all questions regarding student financing (e.g. BAföG, scholarships, student credits or loans).
The Counselling Centre Accommodation – BeWo answers your questions about student housing in Hamburg.
In the Counselling Centre for Social & International Affairs – BeSI, our experts are available to provide you with advice and assistance on topics such as studying with a child/family and studying with a chronic illness/disability, and are the first point of contact for students from abroad.

Counselling is free of charge for prospective students and students who are enrolled at one of the Hamburg universities we serve.
At the Counselling Centre for study financing – BeSt. you can be advised by us by telephone during office hours.
There are no fixed appointments at the Counselling Centre Accommodation – BeWo, just come by during office hours. If your concerns are more extensive, you are welcome to call in advance so that the colleagues can prepare. If you want to find out about waiting times for a place to live, it is helpful if you have already registered with us in advance via the online application.
Our Counselling Centre for Social & International Affairs – BeSI will advise you without an appointment during office hours or with an appointment (outside office hours).
The secure handling and protection of your data is our top priority. Our work is also subject to a comprehensive confidentiality obligation, compliance with which is a matter of course for us. Should an exchange with third parties be necessary or useful, we will in any case obtain your consent to share the data beforehand.
At the Counselling Centre for Social & International Affairs – BeSI and the Counselling Centre for study financing – BeSt, you can also receive anonymous counseling. Simply inform our advisors of this at the beginning of the conversation.
