Our trainees have great ideas! And of course we want to encourage them. That's why our trainees are given the opportunity to realise projects independently - from the initial idea to coordination, processing and completion.
Our first trainee project was conceived and planned with a great deal of commitment - and in April 2023, the time had come - our Studibox was opened!
A swap box designed to ensure more sustainability on campus. From the name of the swap box and the right location to the materials. We had to take all of this into account to get the project off the ground.
Now that the Studibox has been in place in front of the Schlüters pizzeria on the university campus for a year, we can say that the project has been a success. The Studibox is used daily by students, colleagues and campus visitors alike.
We are very pleased that the Studibox has been so well received and that there are great things to discover there!
In 2022, our trainees took part in the Energy Scout project organised by the Hamburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In three workshops, they learnt the basics of energy efficiency and motivation for energy savings and were given an introduction to project work. Our trainees then designed and implemented their own energy efficiency project at the student union.
The energy efficiency project was an energy saving week. Every day, they informed their colleagues about a topic related to saving energy. From proper ventilation and energy guzzlers in the office to saving energy in the home office - helpful tips were provided every day. The aim was to raise awareness among colleagues about the use of certain devices and sensitise them to how to save electricity.
At the end of the project, they had to prove themselves to their peers, the trainees from other companies. At a final event, they presented their project and learnt what the other companies had planned or implemented. Unfortunately, they did not make it into the top three, but our trainees still had a lot of fun preparing and realising the energy-saving week.
