The four childcare centres run by the Studierendenwerk, which look after around 300 children, have recently started using a new catering provider. This followed an extensive selection process involving clear quality standards, in-depth market research, trial meals from various providers, and the involvement of our teams and the children. Of particular importance to us were a high proportion of organic food (according to the caterer’s own figures, organic food now accounts for around 60–70 per cent of the ingredients used) and a reliable hygiene policy. We are now delighted to be working with an experienced Hamburg-based caterer who has specialised in catering for nurseries and schools for many years.
