On 24 June 2026, the Cafeteria Bergedorf will once again host the ‘Students Cook for Students’ event. Under the theme ‘Holidays in Europe’, students of Food Science at HAW Hamburg are organising a special event day and inviting guests to join them from 11.30 am on a culinary journey through Europe.
From South Tyrolean pearl barley risotto and Danish meatballs to Polish mushroom goulash, guests can look forward to a varied selection of European specialities. International delicacies will also feature on the menu at the side dish and dessert stations.
The event is part of a practice-oriented seminar project run by the Faculty of Life Sciences at HAW Hamburg. For one day, the students will take charge of planning and running the canteen – from menu development to serving the food. They will be supported by the team at the Cafeteria Bergedorf. The Studierendenwerk Hamburg looks forward to welcoming many guests and to an enjoyable day full of European diversity.
